What your Doctor can do to help prevent your Kidney Disease from Getting Worse?
  • There are several types of medications which are helpful to slowing the progression of kidney disease, particularly for people with certain types of kidney disease.

  • Good blood pressure control is important. Know your blood pressure. Your blood pressure should generally be <130/80, although your doctor will decide what level is best for your individual circumstance.

  • If you suffer from diabetes, your doctor can help get this under optimal control.

  • People with certain types of kidney disease may require special treatment. Your doctor will be able to determine this, with the help of a Kidney Specialist, if necessary.
